Robotics Design Bureau is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to integrate our robotics and vision products into material handling systems. This includes R&D and prototype development to successfully bring new products to market. The systems we bring to the market integrate high-level automation, advanced robotics, innovative 3D/2D vision and end of arm tooling. The Automation Engineer will be capable of conception, research, sales, and applications support, estimating, component selection, device troubleshooting, HMI development, PLC programming, onsite installation and debug, and service support.
Location: Kiev, Ukraine
Day to day activities include:
- Robot workcell design, prototyping, and installation
- End of Arm Tooling development and prototype construction
- Electrical device/panel layouts and schematics
- Program PLCs and HMIs per customer and Robotics Design Bureau specifications
- Collaborate with system integrators and vendors to spec systems and components
- Provide technical support for applications
- Conduct a full scope of automation project services as outlined in the overview above.
- Ensure projects are executed in an effective manner in regard to time, cost and function
- Clear communication with the larger robotics and vision team
Qualifications desired:
- Technical Degree and completion of Service or Commissioning Career Path. 5+ years' experience preferred -- or --
- Bachelor of Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering. 2+ years' experience preferred
- Experience with Robotic Automation (ABB, Fanuc, or Yaskawa), specifically material handling systems
- Experience with machine vision a plus
- Experience with PLCs & HMIs
- Aptitude for Hands on Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting
- 2D and 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia, etc) a plus
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Travel
- Up to 25% travel including international
